Introduction
The Hybrix virtual computer is not an actual physical device, but rather a simulation that runs in your web browser. However, its design is very similar to a real electronic computer.
It has typical components such as:
- A custom central processing unit (CPU) called Chombit
- A custom graphics processing unit (GPU) called Palix
- A custom audio system called Jamdac
- A memory bank that stores 256 kilobytes of random-access-memory (RAM)
- System board features such as real-time clock, storage controller, and serial port
The virtual computer can interact with common hardware devices such as:
- Keyboard
- Mouse
- Gamepad controllers
- ROM cartridges including a flash chip
