Symbol picks

In the boards system, picks enable you to emit symbols individually ("picking them out" by name), whereas queries can emit many symbols as an array.

Creating a pick​

  1. Go to the BOARDS screen, and click the BOARDS tab to choose the board with your symbol.

  2. Select the symbol.

  3. In the property pane (on the right side), make sure your symbol specifies a symbol name. In the example below, the symbol name is UPPER_SCREEN_LOC.

  4. Check the box that says: Emit a "picks" var

  5. Now go to the DATA screen, and click the PICKS tab:

You should see the emitted DATA block. On the CODE screen, the emitted declaration can also be found in the [GENERATED] source file.
